The Balkans Youth and Health Project (BYHP) is a three-year project funded by the Government of Canada through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). The goal of the Project is to improve the health of youth in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) by increasing their access to primary health care.

The Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH) in partnership with World University Service of Canada (WUSC) are working with ministries of health, public health institutions, and youth NGOs, to strengthen health policy and programs at the national, regional and local levels. Moreover, the project will work to harmonize delivery of services among public health institutions, health providers and youth groups.

The focus of the Balkans Youth and Health Project is youth between the ages of 10 and 26, including socially disadvantage groups young women, drug users, internally displaced persons, returnees, marginalized ethnic minorities like the Roma, commercial sex workers, men having sex with men and substance abusers.
